Daisey Doodles

DaiseyDoodles was set up during the long warm spring of 2020 when the world was experiencing unusual times due to the coronavirus pandemic.

After being furloughed from my job, I initially spent my time enjoying the sunshine in my garden, pottering and baking, but as time went on, I decided to get my art materials out and have a go as I had enjoyed this in the past.

I set up my art space in a spare bedroom of my house with a lovely wooden easel and a variety of watercolour paints, brushes and papers.
I found it therapeutic during these times to perch on my little stool in my art space with a pencil in my hand, gazing across the rolling hills and pastures and creating some artwork.

Inspiration

My inspiration came from my dreams of palm trees, holidays and dolphins and a time when I could see my loved ones again. I started drawing daisies as they are my favourite type of wildflowers. From here, my creative juices started flowing, and the ideas for artwork kept coming.

The idea of incorporating rainbow colours in some of my artwork came from the rainbow being a sign of hope, togetherness and supporting each other during the pandemic. As well as the rainbow range of artwork I also have items in single colours and combinations of colours.

Artwork for Sale

Having now produced a collection of DaiseyDoodles prints and originals and with my daughter saying, “Mum, people will buy things like that!” I am looking forward to getting out and selling my artwork at Craft Fayre’s, Artisan Markets and Makers Markets. I hope people get as much enjoyment from my artwork as I do in creating it.

Commissions

At present, I will not be undertaking commission based work. In some cases, it will be possible to have versions of my artwork created in different colours on request. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements further.
